There are over 4 Billion people on Earth, do you think that we all got here by chance?

Violet Glass Tumbling Apple

This is called an Epitaph. This person Never existed but I made up her life in free verse style. And if you read her daughter's Epitaph as well, they will fit together like a puzzle. (1807-1872)
Nadia Barton--Amy--
There was a knock on the door
The officer announced my fathers death.
With my mother having been dead since my birth,
I was sent away.
The orphanage taught me little
No more than hard work and humility.
I was a plain girl
Not smart, nor beautiful but plain.
Then he came to work for us,
His meals and shelter was pay.
He, Thomas, was twenty
And I seventeen.
It was he that called me
Beautiful, smart and dazzling.
We married and gave life to eight children
But two no longer breathe the breath of life.
My family flourished and marriage stabled.
We grew in age, love and strength.
Then at the age of eighty three--
After sixty six years of marriage,
Eight children, fourteen grandchildren
And nineteen great-grandchildren--
I grew ill and weak.
Thomas never left my side.
I later passed away, along side my family,
Without anger or fear or regret.

If you can laugh during a tough time, everything will be fine. But if you can allow others to laugh with you, then everything will be GREAT!

This is Nadia's daughter Olivia, read this one carefully. She has many secrets.

Olivia McBride --Amy--
My name is Olivia McBride.
Before that it was Olivia Langer
Even before that it was Olivia Barton.
As Olivia Barton I was a girl-
Young, lively and clever-
The only living daughter of my parents.
There were two other girls,
But now I have no sisters.
I was my fathers joy
And my mothers pride.
I married and became Olivia Langer.
Ray was a good man, even in death.
Left for war never to return.
And I, widowed and pregnant.
Yet, when Mark was still a toddler,
I married again and gave him a father.
So, as Mrs. Daniel McBride, I started over.
With him I had two daughters and a son.
We became older as our time flew by.
Mark left with Daniel on a short journey,
But destined to take forever.
They broke my heart and spirit,
there deaths crushed me.
There end was unlawful and unfair.
It was then that my end began.
My mother passed on and also my father, soon after.
My Other children were raised, wedded,
Beginning their own families.
It was time for me
To join my mother and father,
My sisters: Abigail and Natasha.
My Mark, my Ray and my Daniel.
But know this: When this life, this Journey, is over
It is only the beginning of another.

The daisy is so pretty.
This poem was not writen by me. But I loved it so much, I wanted to put it on here.
THE POEM

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last then my to die.
I went before the Lord,
but stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"

FAMILY
I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said good-bye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,
"While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use,
but the children you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
and you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you. I knew
you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue.
{Are you aware that if you died tomorrow, the company that
you're are working for could easily replace you in a matter of days.? But the
family you leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.?
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our
own family-an unwise investment indeed, don't you think? So what is
behind the story? Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
